"Even after going away to the United States to continue my advanced studies I have continued to work with economic and social issues in Poland. In 1998, I served as an analytical assistant at the Office of Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Department for Co-ordination of Social Reforms, advising on economic aspects of legal bills. In 2000, I wrote a report on the consequences of the US telecom reform "Reforma Sektora Telekomunikacyjnego w USA" for the Ministry of Telecommunications of the Republic of Poland. I have long looked for an opportunity to come back to Poland to do high-level economics research after finishing my studies and I think WISER is the right opportunity."
